Welcome to the Entomology & Insect Science graduate program!

The Entomology and Insect Sciences Graduate Program offers interdisciplinary masters and doctoral training in the biology of insects.

We particularly seek out creative, enthusiastic applicants who have multidisciplinary interests, such as insect ecology–plant chemistry or behavioral ecology–neurobiology, pest management–spatial ecology, epidemiology of vector-borne disease–climate science, to name a very few. We encourage students to develop cross-disciplinary connections and bring together aspects of insect biology in unconventional way.

Henry Hagedorn Endowment

We are pleased to announce the creation of the Henry Hagedorn Endowment, in memory of a cherished teacher, prominent researcher, colleague and friend in the community of insect researchers at the University of Arizona.  When The Endowment reaches its required minimum ($10,000), its income will be used for EIS students to invite a distinguished scientist to come to campus and speak each year.
